People talk so much about the way a building looks from the outside, that they sometimes forget to talk about the interior.

The inside of the building should be easy to use, practical, the right size, all those things, but it should also be a nice space to be in, a space that you enjoy for itself. Once again, this will mean different things for different buildings. You may want it to be a cosy, intimate space in a flat or house or a grand, exciting one in a public building, or something in-between. But if it makes you want to get out quick, there is something wrong and you should ask yourself what it might be.
