A well designed building should be easy for everybody to use, even people who are not very familiar with it or who have a disability.

Design should respond to the function of the building and the different kinds of people who will need to use it. A school has very different uses to a supermarket, for example.

Is it clear that the designer has really thought about the different uses of the building? Is the design flexible enough for all of them? What has been done to make the building or space easier to use?
